Proposing in Asheville (Biltmore Estate)

Boys…considering proposing in Asheville? Looking for that fairytale moment? Well, you’re in luck because our amazing, super hip, food-loving, outdoor adventure-crazed city also has it’s very own castle to make your moment that much sweeter. The Biltmore Estate provides not only a fun and enjoyable tour inside the massive home but also has some incredible views on the outside. All of this makes it that much easier to drop to one knee and utter those life-changing words. (You can thank me later, Asheville Tourism.) 😉

The groom-to-be below chose the Biltmore for his “I do” locale even though they live in Texas. He surprised his girlfriend with a quick trip to Asheville and a tour of the Vanderbilt’s estate. He decided to pop the question at the Boathouse near the house which is where I waited, posed as a tourist. She, of course said, “Yes,” and was absolutely adorable talking about their dog and life in Austin.

The entire experience was easily set up over email with the groom. I sent over images of the various locations at the Biltmore, with information on logistics, and he chose his favorite.

Not interested in the Biltmore? Asheville has so many amazing locations for that (hopefully!) once-in-a-lifetime moment. Gorgeous mountain settings, waterfalls, trails, views for miles. I swear this isn’t a public service announcement for Asheville. I just love my city!
