Oh to be 2 again! The boundless energy, the constant curiosity, the obsession with strange objects and behavior. My oldest son was obsessed with a black, cheap, plastic cowboy hat he wore everywhere when he was two. My youngest spent most of his waking and sleeping hours with his finger stuck right in his belly button. It was adorable. So when I learned during a recent session that this toddler’s favorite thing to wear was a shiny blue cooking pot, I was smiling from the memories.
This adorable, sweet, little guy reminded me so much of my boys who are now just big and smelly. I’d forgotten the constant, incomprehensible chatter from a toddler until the session was spent conversing with the two-year-old on a slew of topics, though I’m still not sure what they were.
We did the family photos, let him run on his own, climbed in a wagon, and ended on the trampoline. A trampoline – with a nice, big, safety net securing him in. Mom and Dad watched their little guy safely run off HOURS of energy in a mere 15 minutes then discussed the pros of purchasing a trampoline for their yard. Good choice.
So here are a few from the sweet boy with the pot on his head. He wears it well!
And finally…he’s done.
